The classic cylinder head drill sets in wooden box usually contain diameters 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 mm. Appropriate to the season we offer you the Bormax® 2.0 “tea light set” containing diameters 40, 50 and 60 mm.
Everybody knows the problem: By drilling and countersinking in wood –in one workstep- the proper countersink is not at hand or a hole in an intermediate size has to be done for which no classical countersink exists. The adjustable VARIO countersink for drills from Ø 3 mm – 8 mm closes this gap.
There is softwood, hardwood, exotic hardwood, Wood Polymer Composites (WPC), plastics in any imaginable design and various characteristics. Times are over when you needed different drills for each material!
Threaded washers or screws with washers and nuts are used to connect construction woods. There are standards which describe washers regarding the used threads. If there is a standard given or in case you don’t want to see a connection, the washer and nut need to be counter sinked into the wood.
When drilling in European or even exotic hardwoods, very high demands are placed on the tool. But as soon as you have to drill frontal –maybe even- in heartwood, the most wood drills strike after few centimetres. Because heartwood stands out by a high content of phenols. These impregnate the cell walls, the cells contain less water, are much dense and solid than the surrounding wood. But never mind, our HSS-G Machine wood drills make the cut.
