The carbide-tipped VARIO countersink is a professional tool for drilling and countersinking in one workstep. Attachable on all wood drills in Ø 3 – 8 mm. Also covering the intermediate sizes for which no classical countersink exists.
The tool consist of two half shells which are fixed on the drill by two clamping screws. By this the drill is centred well and a good concentricity is achieved. This is a huge advantage over standard countersinks with only one clamping screw. Because the screw bears against the drill only on one side. This can lead to a non-circular run especially if drills with a small diameter are used.
The VARIO is available in two versions:
- The “VARIO 90” two make 90°-countersinks for counter-sunk screws.
- The “VARIO 180” for 180°-countersinks for washers and nuts.
The high quality carbide-tipped adjustable VARIO countersink enables very clean and tear-free countersinking in all woods, laminated panels, many plastics and even exotic woods. A typical application is the terrace construction made of exotic hard woods.
The VARIO can be easily fixed with an enclosed hexagon wrench. This leads to following drill and countersink dimensions. (Ø drill/countersink dimension): 3/10,5 | 4/11,5 | 5/12,5 | 6/13,5 | 8/14,5 mm

The fully ground special helix makes a very good chip removal. Optimal hole edge by two CNC-ground cutting lips. We produce these drills standard diameter 2 – 20 mm rising in 0,5 mm steps. Deliverable single or in various sets.
