New and only on Bormax® 2.0: Chip breaking grooves on main cutting edges

Who does not know the effect drilling a deep hole with a cylindrical head drill. Long, voluminous chips (which seem partly endless) accumulate. Therefore the way out of the drilling is highly hampered. If you are working with an extension to drill a deep hole the back stroke out of the drilling is nearly impossible.

Bormax® 2.0 makes the difference!

Chip breaking grooves on the main cutting edges provide relief. The trick: The grooves on the main cutting edges are arranged phase-delayed, which means when there is a valley on the one side, then there is a rising on the opposite side.

What does this mean in practical application?

After half turn of the drill the chip breaking grooves of the opposite main cutting edge cut the chip which has been left standing by the other main cutting edge. The effect: You can avoid long chips, instead you are able to produce short chips which are similar to saw dust. They come out easily, because they are not as voluminous. Using the Bormax® 2.0 doing a deep hole drilling is more comfortable than ever.
