NEW at FAMAG: Bormax® 2.0!

Total excitement! This is how the Bormax is going make your eyes shine!

We recently found this on the internet and want to share it with you. An English pro is building a guitar and is totally excited about the Bormax:

Bormax® 2.0 produces even more chips now!

The professional craftsmen who finish their work with a smile on their faces don’t talk about a Forstner bit any more- they talk about the Bormax.

But we are far away from being vain about this or rest on our success!

Today we are excited and delighted to present the Bormax 2.0. We revised and optimized the tool steel Bormax! Three new details make the new tool steel Bormax 2.0 the most rapid Forstner bit we know:

  1. Centre point with twist
  2. Chip breaking grooves on the main cutters
  3. Waves on the circumference cutters

Delivery of the new Bormax 2.0 has already begun in most of the lines and the new version is available in many sizes. The new Bormax 2.0 is easy to recognize thanks to its new geometry and the branding on the shank. Additionally there’s a sticker on the blister packaging, stating "NEW"!

New production of all tool steel Bormax line 1622 (total length 90 mm), 1623 (long version) and 1624 (pilot guided Bormax) as well as - brand new! -  the piloted counter bore line  1617 and the drill countersinks for auger bits 1411 are using the new geometry Bormax 2.0. In the transitional period you could get tools in the new and old version. But one thing is for sure: It’s just a matter of time until every professional will be able to work with the Bormax 2.0.

Another good news: There’s no price increase!

We have thought about which cylindrical head drills could get the new geometry. You’ll receive a detailed answer in our next newsletter! There we are going to show you- as a preview before our new catalogue is published- which products will be available as Bormax 2.0.
