The German Wilhelm Emil Fein invented the first power drill in 1890. Since that time, there was a lot of development in the range of power drills and you will find such a machine in almost every household today. We are not really sure, when the first angle drill machine was invented. But in fact, when you need it on a construction site, you can be sure that it usually lies in the workshop and sometimes the problems begin…

The challenges of the carpenters and all others who are busy with interior work, are very complex and have changed a lot in the last years. Bolt connections are order of the day and very often they are located in tricky and inaccessible areas. It happens, that a hole is to be drilled or a screw is to be inserted in a poorly accessible location. Space is often so limited, that even an angle drill machine is too big for that. Often a screwdriver is the last chance, but this is not a satisfying solution. An angle screwdriver, which can be used for drilling holes as well as tightening screws, can help. This machine has to be manufactured so stable, that an appropriate torque can be converted. The solution is the 90fix Right-angle-driver from FAMAG.

The body of the 90fix Right-angle-driver is made of solid aluminium, not of plastic material. The enclosed handle can be screwed into the body in two positions. Inside you find a pair of metal gear wheels. For a perfect transmission of power, they are diagonal geared positioned. So the maximum convertible torque is 50 Nm. Due to the helical gearing, the gear wheels are working extremely smooth. This appears very well when you use the FAMAG drill bits with a cordless screwdriver. No problem for a speed of 2.000 rpm, as the shafts are still stored with high quality ball bearings. For an additional bearing of the drive shaft, we have added a black plastic housing. This means not only a better look, but we also stabilise the drive shift extra. The take-up device of the ¼ INCH bits is fitted with a strong magnet holder. The screwing angle is 90° and the structure depth of the tool was kept minimal, so that you can really reach the furthest corner.

You want to drill a hole or screw in a screw in a poorly accessible location? Even for a small cordless drill is not enough space? No problem – with the 90fix Right-angle-driver of FAMAG you reach nearly every hidden corner. Clamp the hexagonal shank of the device into the cordless drill. Insert a drill bit or a twist drill with bit shank. We prefer Torx screws to cross slots. Optionally you can screw in the enclosed handle in two positions on the device, so you have a proper handling. The 90fix is constructed robust, so that you can screw in screws with a total length of up to 60 mm. The solid interior design enables speeds up to 2.000 rpm without any problem. The angle screwdriver device is ideal for using spiral tools with bit shank.

The 90fix Right-angle-driver is delivered in a Blister pack, indicating the most important product details. Beside the single tool the 90fix is also available in two sets: Once in a high quality wooden box as „compact“ version and in a practical textile pouch.

The set in wooden box contains: The 90fix as well as short brad point drill bits with adequate bit shank in Ø 3/4/5/6/8, product line 1596. Perfect to pre-drill borings for screws. They can easily be fitted into the device, as well as the enclosed countersink of Ø 16 mm. The strong magnet of the 90fix avoids that these slip from the bit holder during application. Of course there is also the handle, which can be screwed in two positions into the body and which offers a good grip in handling. Furthermore you find a small machine feed for clamping of tools with cylindrical shank.
